|
|
I purchased a professional license some years ago. It's still active but now I want to be able to use uvlayout not only on my computer at home but also when I'm out working onsite with clients on my 2nd portable machine. How can I do this?
A physical dongle was not a problem when used with a computer that stays put but it's a huge inconvenience if I have to keep switching the dongle between 2 computers esp if the later will be taken out a lot. I only see it getting lost, stolen or broken in the process. I was looking on your forums and saw that it is possible to share a license on a local network? What about via a cloud storage like Dropbox. Or by simply doing an automatic software check in like Substance Painter & Designer and many other programs have.
I don't understand why you have not implemented this feature yet.. |

We've been meaning to look at an alternative to the dongle for a while now, so now maybe its time! I'll send an email regarding a temporary measure for you until the official solution becomes available.

Currently, I'm trying out the demo, awesome tool and I'm already convinced that i have to buy a pro licence soon.
As a freelancer who works both at home and at my office (two different, stationary machines), I wasn't sure if this is even possible with the currently available license model. The dongle solution doesn't work for me, I don't want to think about taking it with me everytime I leave the house for the office.
Any plans on when the "alternatives" will arrive? I really want to get rid of my current (garbage) UV unwrappers ASAP |

An official alternative to the USB dongle is probably a month or more away, but I've sent you an email regarding the temporary measure.
