Just received my dongle in the mail for UVL Pro, and I'm attempting to switch my temp license over to my permanent one associated with the dongle.

Dongle is plugged in. I tried pasteing the license key supplied on my Support>Details page, hit refresh and it didn't work. It still shows 19 days left, so it's still using the temp license.

I've read that Phil will email a permanent license key once he gets confirmation that the dongle was received, so I'm confused. If that is the case, what is the purpose of the key on my Details page? It obviously isn't a temp key, because Phil had to email me that as well.

Second question. Currently running WinXP32, but considering upgrading to another OS. Will this cause licensing issues when I reinstall Headus? Thanks.

Sorry about the confusion ... there's actually 2 temp licenses. The first one I sent you was for a specific Ether ID, so is locked to the system you nominated for use while you waited for the dongle to arrive.

The license on your Support Details page is also temporary, but its locked to the dongle. You could now plug that dongle into any system to enable UVLayout. The reason its temporary is because the airmail post cant be tracked, so I wait to hear its arrived OK before generating a permanent key. If you login to your account, you'll now find a permanent key on the Support Details page.

No. The license key and the dongle in combination unlock UVLayout on Windows (XP and Vista, 32 and 64bit), Linux and Mac OS X. Installers for all OS's are available from the Support Download page.
